FOUNDER
My name is Melanie, I'm a mum of 3 boys, with a passion to care. No silver spoon, no fancy house, just trying
to make the world a better place for the next generation.
The idea for LATCH KEY KIDS came from watching and listening to people around me complaining about "children
of today" hanging around street corners and "how it was never like that in my day" bearing in mind people have short memories
of the antics they got upto as a child! So I asked a few people to put there money were their mouth was..... and LATCH KEY
KIDS WAS BORN.
I'm not that old, but the world has changed so much, I felt enough was enough and sitting back was not an option.
I'm hoping you are visiting the site sharing the same vision.
The mission I have is to get everyone to donate £1, either as a one off or once a month,
lets face it if you lost a £1 would you notice! But if a child with nothing gained a pound, its giving hope back to our
future generations that people do care.
Not alot to ask you may think, less than a packet of cigerette's, but the difference
those £1's can make to a child's life is massive. WITHOUT red tape deciding to whom and were the money goes. My aim is
to get the kids off the streets and living!
Youth centre's in every town, sports and music equipment available to every child, clothing, vital medical equipment or educational sponsorships.......
The list is endless who WE can help.
